I have learned to live by these quotes. I offer my fair share of mistakes and the things that I have learned as a result along the way.

Background:

John Lyons joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1968. He  was posted to police operations in Manitoba for seven years. He experienced uniform policing in isolated communities followed by major crimes investigation. In 1975 he was re-assigned to Ottawa and a liaison function assisting with Federal Bureau of Investigations in Canada. He joined the Canadian bureau of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) in 1978 where he assisted foreign and Canadian police with transnational investigations. His responsibilities included assisting the Department of Justice with international requests for fugitive arrest and extradition to and from Canada. He was assigned to Training Directorate in 1991 transferring training skills in intelligence analysis and money laundering to Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. He retired from policing in November of 1996.  He is a recipient of the Governor General of Canada’s Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada “in recognition of significant contribution to compatriots, community and to Canada.”

John is an associate of  AlterNation Inc. devoted to crime reduction through human capacity building in troubled communities. He is an associate of the The Atrim Group efforts to protect critical infrastructures for terrorist and crime risks.
